Wisdom of God can come from horse/human relationships. God teaches us His Presence in daily life.
The Hebrew word for wind or breath is Ruach. God gives us the breath of life. It also means He is in the wind. Not sure about you, but where I live the winds have been blowing at an astronomical level.

A week and a half ago there was a wind storm as I was driving our horse to an inside arena. While we tacked up the horse, gale force winds had increased so much as my horse was antsy and trying to hide behind myself and my daughter. The wind was so strong that it left gravel pieces in our hair and our scalp.
When we were done with our arena time, I sensed even greater winds, the metal passage door swung out of my hand as we were getting ready to exit the arena. I remembered the peace of God as I was safely, talking to both our horse and guiding my daughter to remove the saddle and get him into the trailer to return home. At the same time, I felt like the Lord was speaking to me, that He is in the wind.
I thought about the times I was scared around horses. They are beautiful, powerful, massive animals with their own minds. I knew I needed to be Boomer, our horses’, place to reflect calm and rest. Even as I spoke softly to him, I was thinking how God is the place of rest, and being able to know that calm is the answer.
His Presence is peace. He’s in the times of chaos and he’s in the times of joy. You see in His presence is rest. The Hebrew word in NUACH.
Isaiah 40:28-31, I paraphrase “He lifts us up on eagles wings”, being present with Him is stillness. It is not stillness in an inactive way, but stillness in an active way with our Creator God.
Isaiah 40:28-31 NLT
Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. [29] He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. [30] Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. [31] But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Three separate times this past week, the Hebrew word “Nuach” has come across my eyes or my ears. The first time was in a Christian fiction book, the second time was as our pastor was explaining the importance of resting in the presence of God. And the third time the Lord brought it to my mind as I was encouraging a friend. The “Nuach” is a Hebrew word for rest. There’s many places in scripture that remind us to be in His rest, it means to be in His Presence. But how many times as humans do we allow ourselves to remember the presence of God?
Psalm 103:1-5 NLT
Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. [2] Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. [3] He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. [4] He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. [5] He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
As I led him into the horse trailer, Boomer was very anxious, but as I spoke calmly to him, He snorted at the wind, took a few deep breaths loudly, nuzzled me and then whinnied loudly in my ear as I attached his lead line to the inside of the trailer. I patted his face and neck. He was antsy but calm.
God is the Ruach and the Nuach! He is in the wind. He is in the rest. He is our breath of life. He’s the Ruach, it is a Hebrew word for breath of life, wind. He is the Nuach means “He is in the rest”. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is eternity.
If we consider the sign for eternity, it’s a continuous loop. Just as our creator, God is the Alpha and Omega. So no matter how you’re struggling, God is in the wind and breath of your life, and God is present in your rest (NUACH). Take time to rest today .
